Honeymoon Suite, formed in 1982 by Johnnie Dee and Derry Grehan, quickly gained attention with their hit “New Girl Now” in the Homegrown Contest. Signed by WEA Canada, the band’s debut album in 1984 achieved platinum sales. They toured extensively with notable acts and received a Juno nomination. The success continued with the platinum-selling second album, ‘The Big Prize,’ in 1986, featuring collaborations with Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull.
The duo continued to release albums and hits, leaving a lasting impact on pop music. Currently, Andy tours solo but brings Erasure classics to his shows. Founded in New Jersey in 1980, The Smithereens have been creating electrifying, original rock ’n’ roll for 41 years.
